Phoenix to host 2019 Royal Rumble?

If it is in fact at Chase Field, it could be the first open air Rumble.

I heard the Superstars are coming out of the dugout for this, that'd be pretty coo IMO.

I'm so curious how the layout will be. My lady and I wanna go but don't want floor seats and lower bowl seems like it would be an odd setup.

They will probably have lots of risers and way, way too many floor seats. If that is the case then FUCK that. Anything after row 3 is a waste. It would be cool if they blocked off the outfield and did a massive stage but I doubt they will.

If you didn't click the link, you may have missed they are doing thing Mania style: Axxess, TakeOver, Raw, and Smackdown all in Phoenix.

WWE is slowly starting to run more big stadium shows. Every Wrestlemania, now they've done a couple of Rumbles in big buildings. Sure Summerslam will be in a stadium soon too.

Its fucking weird. Everyone hates the current product, and Raws aren't selling well, but these fucking stadium shows do well.

Funny note: they are moving the Saudi Arabia show to smaller venue.

A+ WMVII reference. Maybe they could have done the Collesium had Undertaker vs. Andre worked out?

WWE is sending me tickets to the Rumble and Raw the night after. Not sure where the seats will be just yet but I'm looking forward to it!

This is the best map available at the moment from what I can find. I ended up getting Section J seats.

Because I'm friends with Vince.

Also because they fucked me over at WM34 and I complained. They blocked off my section and moved me to a seat where I was at an undesired viewing angle. I argued with the arena staff and then with WWE Fan Services who all tried to convince me that it was an "upgrade." Bullshit. Sitting off to the side is not the same as sitting dead center opposite of the ramp in the front row of a section that has NO ONE obstructing you.

So they offered me two tickets to WM 35 or 4 tickets to any shows that I wanted. Given that I live in Minnesota now and March/April are unreliable travel months, I opted to do the Rumble. Plus its impossible to have a bad time while you are there. This being the first "outdoor Rumble" in a unique setup also really sold me on the idea of going. I emailed WWE a week or so ago and they just got back to me last night.

Opted to get the 3D (no dudleyz) tickets and they're pretty cool. They do a "countdown" effect.

chris or MAC - what do you guys think is the best place for seats aside from ringside? im leaning 213-215 row 1 maybe? seats down 3rd base seem like the best

also based on the layout is the entrance going to come out the dugout? seems kinda cool

This layout is gonna suck live. Hardcam will be behind 14 from the looks of it. That means only section 3 will have the best view for action.

For entrances, the curved ramp fucks everything up. My best guess is 140-142 if you want to sit as close to “dead on” for the ramp/screen/etc. Problem is that it is out in left field.

If you care more about in ring shit but don’t want to pay out the ass, Q-M or E-111 (if you don’t care about entrances) would be your best bet. If you want to go back even further/higher, just see the 200 level sections that corresponds with what I recommended.

I ended up in Section J midway up (Row 13 I think... prolly posted it above). It should be ok. Hopefully no obstructions but yeah as Chris said, if you hadn't gotten them yet 200's in first two rows would be good along third baseline or anywhere in that 'gap' area.

my thoughts on J are thats the best seat for a baseball game but i dont think you will be raised up off the ground enough vs all the chair people on the field

Well, I was bent over and FUCKED by Vince.

After numerous emails and a few phone calls, I finally received my Rumble tickets. They are floor tickets but they are around 20 rows back and at a weird angle with by back kind of to the ramp. No word yet on the Raw tickets. Should be a fun trip though. Doing Axxess, TakeOver, Rumble, Raw, visiting family in Nevada, and then doing a tour through the Grand Canyon before heading home. Our Phoenix hotel is right near all of the arenas and the downtown scene so this is shaping up to be fun despite McMahon trying to ruin my anus.
