Yeah the chants will reign supreme. Still don't see what the endgame is from having Goldberg win...he drops it to brock at Mania and disappears again? Owens vs Jericho is gonna be amazing but should have been fine title.

If they are gonna give it to brock I hope it's for a while this time

I've realized that Wrestlemania isn't for us. It's the biggest show of the year, the one where they try to bring in casual fans and lapsed fans. That's why we get all the big name part-timers winning titles and main eventing shows. Because Vince doesn't care about what the hardcore fans want. He wants that mainstream attention and relevance.

It's okay though. We're rapidly running out of Attitude Era guys who can still viably wrestle and draw crowds. One of these days, Wrestlemania is gonna roll around and Vince is going to look around and realize that he's all out of stars from 1999 and he hasn't bothered to create any new ones on that same level since and he's gonna be shit outta luck.

I guess Vince is okay with trading 10 hardcore fans for a million mainstream fans, huh?

Hopefully by that time the only Attitude Era guy that matters, Triple H, will have more control and these younger guys he's wanting to push will get theirs. You know, if they haven't said 'Fuck this' by that point.

Win the Day!

I mean, as far as doing business and making money goes, he's probably right. And Vince is in the business of making money first and foremost.

For instance, pretty much none of us are excited about the AJ Styles/Shane McMahon match that is planned.

But according to Meltzer, last year, when they announced Shane vs. Undertaker, ticket sales skyrocketed and that match was by far the biggest draw on the show. So like it or not....Shane McMahon is a draw. And while AJ vs. Nakamura would be infinitely better and more entertaining, Nakamura debuting isn't going to sell an extra 50,000 tickets. Shane McMahon probably will.

It sucks, but it's all about business.

Did you realize that Peezt or did u/CechPlease realize that for You?

It's true though about WM not being for the regulars. Vince will likely be dead or unable to run the WWE by the time they run out of Attitude era guys to do appearances. Rock & HHH vs. Headbanger Mosh & Bull Buchanan at Wrestlemania 45! On the bright side, we now have guys like KO, Finn, Joe, Bray, Seth, Dean, and AJ who can step up and main event future Wrestlemanias with credibility. It would require some build, sure, but it can be done. There is an influx of talent on the way which will strengthen the rosters and also make guys competitive over their spots.

Goldberg observations:

-He didn't get any pop once his music hit. None.
-Crowd chant was weak.
-Bill needs his security team when walking in the back.
-Did anyone else notice Little E. Langston last night escorting Goldberg to the ring at Fastlane?
-He looks stupid in street clothes and the belt.
-At least he and Bray are WEARING the belts.
-Official WWE Wear! Catchy saying on back of shirt! Does WWE know they are sabotaging some of their own merch?

I was kind of listening while working and it sounded like Neville v. Swann and Aries all got the biggest pops of the night. Well, them and Undertaker. Neville is killing it in his heel role he has going on righ tnow.

Win the Day!

The A Double segment was the highlight of Raw for me. I love Undertaker, but he just feels so fragile.

It's been a good 24 hours for the cruiserweight division. I'm actually interested in it for the first time since the initial tournament.

It just started off as too much of a cluster fuck in the way they were rushing it all and not developing anything. Now that they have a couple of anchors in Neville and Aries, they have some pieces to build stories around.

Win the Day!

Not just that, they were having a lot of them wrestle standard WWE matches and not really showcasing their speed and agility. There was also some weird fixation on submissions (which still exists but is less prevalent).

Yea it was clear Austin was gonna make his move soon, and funnily enough I called how it was gonna go down. I thought to myself "Man they should have Austin go down there and interview Neville and then punch him in the face" and then what happened? Austin interviewed Neville and punched him in the face.

Simple but effective booking that one is

The Undertaker appearance was cool, Braun walking away felt a little unnecessary but I get the point of it. Roman got boo'd hard as fuck, and I really hope they use this to finally turn him heel. But who knows anymore.

Stephanie name dropping CM Punk was for the lulz

Wasn't a fan of Bayley tapping out. She hasn't tapped out since I've been watching her in NXT til now, and I know I haven't seen every Bayley match in NXT, but I can at least say she hadn't tapped out (not even to Asuka) since they pushed her to the women's title, so why now in this match? Could've easily just done a quick roll up. NNnnhhgh...just waiting for Sasha to turn heel.

Jericho and Owens feud looks to be good. I loved their opening segment.

I guess we're continuing on with Joe vs Sami?

I honestly think though they're gonna turn it instead to Joe vs Balor at Mania.
