So when is Peyton going to actually retire? I was expecting him to announce it right after the game was over and was disappointed he didn't, there's a report out there saying the Broncos are moving on without him this season.

Coming weeks I would imagine; especially with this UT lawsuit scandal coming out.

Jared Allen announced his retirement.

Good career and good guy, glad he retired a panther.

Nobody will ever, ever remember him as a Panther. I'll be glad to never see him take down Rodgers in the endzone again. Great guy and career

Sure they will, he never once got to a SuperBowl in 11 years with the Vikings and went his first year with the Panthers.. regardless of winning, that's probably the best moment in his NFL career so, yeah.

I like how close minded you are though, its a clear sign of the butt hurt that flows through you on a daily basis.

I remember him as a Viking. He only had 1 year with Carolina which happened to be his last season. That's like saying Joe Montana is remembered as a Chief.

Woah lets not get carried away like Big Ben at a high school party, people remember smith for championships, it was nice Allen was a 5x pro bowl selection, but he didn't get to a superbowl until he went to another team.

BC, the level of denial you live in is impressive.

The words Jarred Allen and Carolina Panthers won't ever be spoke in the same sentence a year from
Now

Also, gonna doubt him getting stomped in the SB will be a better memory for him than being a 4 time First Team All Pro.

I follow the Vikings and Panthers about as much as I follow the Gibraltar national cricket team... I only know of him as a Viking and had no clue he was with the Panthers this season.

Win the Day!

Charles Woodson won a SB with GB but I'm pretty sure he is going into the HOF as a Raider

Oh no question he's arguably a top-10 DB of all-time if not top 5 but Oakland is where he spent most of his career and rightfully where people should remember him even given the years that he spent in GB where he won Defensive POTY and made a couple of pro-bowls.

Sad part is I believe he actually got hurt in the SB they won and had to come out of the game.

Oh he did. Broke his collar bone. Broke down in the locker room at half time and gave an incredible speech to the team.

One of my fav quotes of all time is from him

"So the President isn't gonna come see us..., well then we'll go see him"

Referring to Obama saying he'd attend the SB if the Bears won that year
