Aramis Ramirez back to the pirates. Didnt wanna pay when he was in his prime so they traded him for garbage. Now bringing him back like 12 years later in the twilight of his career. Hope he does well but im not super excited by this.

Cueto traded to the Royals and here I go throwing in the towel of what very little interest I had in the Reds this season. Might as will trade Frazier, Votto, Phillips, Bruce and start calling up the farm team. What a pathetic organization and that's coming from someone who watched both the Cavs and the Jackets have nearly a decade of forgettable seasons.

Cueto needed to be traded. Free Agent at the end of the year, would have been dumb for the Reds to hold on to him. That said, if I were a Reds fan, I would be sad to see him go. Dude is a stud.

I'm kind of hoping the Angels might take a look at Jay Bruce. We need LF help, and there's a few people that could fit that role for us. Bruce wouldn't be my first choice, since his home/road splits are not encouraging at all, but he would be an upgrade in LF for us over Matt Joyce.

Hes not a stud. Hes a bum that folded under pressure like a cheap lawnchair.

That's like calling Kershaw a bum.

He'll more than likely have a chance at redemption this year. For my team's sake, if it gets to it, I hope he folds again. But if he were on the Angels, I would like his chances over probably any pitcher on the Angels currently, even given Weaver's playoff success.

Bruce sucks. I would have rather pawned him than Cueto any day. Dude is Adam Dunn v.2 at the plate.

Tulo to the Jays for Reyes. Wow...no reason the Jays shouldn't be scoring like 10 runs a game now.

There is obviously another move coming. Love getting rid of Reyes, great guy, shitty fielder who's speed and hitting are quickly fading away. Tulo may not be happy about playing on the turf either.

Jays gave up 2 of their Top 5 prospects plus took on a shitload of money for someone who is a huge injury risk. I love Tulo as a player, but I feel the Rox got a decent haul in return. The Blue Jays line-up is great and will be even better with Tulo, but their offense wasn't the issue.

Clearly the owner is saying money won't be the issue. Col is picking up a decent amount of salary. If the Jays wanted they could spend like the Yankees, they don't however.

I like the trade even if they don't do anything else simply because they have control of him until 2021. Reyes was a FA after next year

Rockies did need pitching as well. Their bats have never been the problem which is why that's where I kind of feel like the Jays may have sacrificed a little much because they have the same problem the Rockies do and now what young pitching they did have they have given up to get what wasn't the problem to begin with.

Except they still have 3 future starters who are all 24 or younger. Sanchez, Stroman and Norris.

Yeah they look real promising with their 4.00 ERA as middle relievers.

Now with that said, there's no question the Royals have to be the favorites in the AL. Just landed Zobrist from the A's, now have a pitching staff that includes Cueto, Guthrie, Duffy and Volquez (it's like they are the Reds circa 2010) and had the best record in the AL before that. Not sure who is really gonna challenge them. Yankees might put up a little fight but their pitching staff doesn't scare anyone down the stretch especially with Sabathia not healthy and the Angels are choke artists. They should have a pretty easy road to the WS and with having home-field advantage should get the job done this year.

Just as long as neither the Yankees or Cardinals win the WS I can be satisfied with that, keep in mind I say this every season lol.

I don't get it. Reds have sucked ass all year yet suddenly we're shutting out the best team in baseball and playing like they give a shit?

I'll take it either way.

Hamels to the Rangers. Gonna be interesting to see him paired with Darvish next season. They're still not gonna be quite healed from over-paying for Choo and that terrible Kinsler/Prince trade.

He's batting .280 though. That says something when this is considered a "down year". I don't think he wanted to leave the Rangers and despite that Prince is finally playing at the level he should, Detroit was wise to unload him. He isn't worth anything close to his contract. Then again, that seems to be the story of the Tigers: overpay when a player reaches their peak and watch their numbers crumble while the rest of the league laughs.

Tigers have had tremendous success the last 8 years, missing that final win of course. Making it twice wasn't it?? Hard to criticize that

Not talking their success, Im talking about the ones they overpaid and their careers then dipped like Verlander, Prince, Victor Martinez, Soria, now Miggy is getting hurt;etc.

Victor had an incredible year last year.

You wish the Reds could do what they've done.

And you're going to slag Miggy? Fuck outa here

Victor's doing jack shit this year (after they gave him a 70 mil extension) just like Verlander, Soria, Prince as soon as Detroit paid them. It seems to be a pattern.

Oh and the Reds already have that problem. See: Homer Bailey and Joey Votto.
