Dual monitors or flat screen?
Just got my tax return & I am downgrading/replacing my 32" flat screen as a computer monitor & throwing it in the bedroom.

The only problem is, I don't know if I want another smaller TV or 2 - 19" computer monitors. Does anyone have any input as to what I should get & if so any brands that are good but somewhat cheap?

I got a 23" LED monitor and it was only 220 bones I think.

I think you should get a nice big monitor

Man, I hate that song.

If it were me though, I'd go with dual monitors. Never used two monitors at the same time, but from what I've seen it makes it pretty easy to separate work from play. You could have Photoshop (or whatever program you work with) on one monitor, and KBC/facebook/twitter/whatever else you use the internet for on the other.

i like the idea of 2 monitors. it's different though, and i don't adapt to change well.

The wife and I are fairly happy with our Vizio's from Wal-Mart. I think we got a 32 for around 220 or something?

That's about as good as it gets. I'd like to switch from the 42/17 inchers and go even like that.

RE: Dual monitors or flat screen?
I'm actually using a VGA cable. I loved the HDMI cable, but my screen blinked every few minutes & I tried troubleshooting forever & finally gave up on it and just went with the VGA cable.

I use a 46 inch in the living room and dual 23" monitors in my office. I gotta say, the dual screen in the office is too much real estate.

RE: Dual monitors or flat screen?
If I did dual monitors, I would HAVE to have the borderless ones that are designed for it. Having a 1/2"+ gap would just irk me to no end

I've been using dual monitors for about 3 years now. I don't think I could ever go back to using a single display.

Drphil

I guess every day use it wouldnt be a big deal... I could just do half my crap on one monitor, half on the other... but like, if I were playing a game, and essentially using the two monitors as one big wide monitor, having a big black line going RIGHT down the middle of my fucking field of view? FUCK that...

RE: Dual monitors or flat screen?
I usually just have the game on one screen. That would be really annoying. But being able to watch videos on one screen and do stuff on the other, plus 80 million other combinations, unfuckwitable.
