I have never nor WOULD ever pay for any of the autographs I have...

I've only got 3.... Hogan (Hollywood Hogan era), Undertaker (just after American Badass era) and Owen Hart (when he was European champ... he let me hold the belt. ♥ Owen)
And I didnt pay a dime for any of them. Paying is for suckers...

If i'm going to get sombodys autograph, I don't want to feel like i've been assraped to get it.

For Owen and Takers auto's, I got them at Autorama (huge car show in Detroit and a few other cities) and I DID have to pay for admission to that, but I go every year anyways, so I dont look at that as part of the cost. Other than the cost of admission to the event I was already going to, all I had to do was wait ~20-30mins in line...

i got Jim Cornette's, the Dudley Boyz's, and Road Dogg/Mr. Ass' autographs.

They were free. They were at the car lot by my house signing stuff. I just walked over and got them since no one was there.

If he still sounded anything like he did when he was doing commentary, then yeah, that would be a great deal... but if you saw him talk when he was inducted into the hall of fame, you know that he must have had a stroke or something, cuz dude sounds like Dick Clark

I have an auto'd copy of Mick Foley's first book, a magazine spread, and a copy (VHS LOL) of Beyond the Mat all signed by Mr. Foley, it cost me not a fuckin' penny. Shame on them. (my experience was like myxmastermike's, the car show here is called the World of Wheels and its every year and I go damn near every year. so a $12 admission and I got Foley's auto thrice fufilled.)

Funny story about flair...

He did a little indy show here in SC, at the time i was working at Skins Hotdogs, it's a local place and they were voted best southern hotdog quite a few times, also one of flairs favorite places to eat.

So i saw he was coming to town, and the flyer said "Come out VIP tickets are $20" For a backdoor indy company... $20 is a good bit and i would not ever pay it again but it was flair so i wanted em so i got em.

Day of the show comes i'm at work... Flair comes in, i get the opportunity to make his food and take it out to him.
He enjoyed them, he asked my boss if he would send me out to the dining room, i go out and he said "Those were some delicious hotdogs kid, would you like an autograph?" I said sure, got it... left work to go to the indy show... because i wanted to get a picture with him...


HE REFUSED to take pictures with someone else's camera and was charging $75 a picture and $85 for an autograph....

TL;DR Flair got bills.

I almost forgot that I had Foleys autograph too...
Got it when he was out on the 'Have A Nice Day' book signing tour.. I already had the book, so I just showed up, and got it signed for free.

Would go to the 2nd for Tatanka alone.

RE: Heenan's voice... Dude had throat cancer and I believe it was in his larynx... that's why he sounds different, poor guy, that's how he made his money.

Still a great dude and an icon though.

Also, when people are "charging" for an autograph, it's usually the event charging you trying to make up their appearance fee they had to pay... The dudes who only cost $20, they get half the take for Autographs too. If it's someone like Flair, who costs $100, I'm guessing he gets half or more of the gate for that too. Hopefully not too many people are dumb enough to pay $100 for that old fuck's autograph

i got Test's and Crash's, both in airports. Test was very nice and cool as can be. Crash was a little whiney bitch.

I have an autographed LWO shirt signed by Eddie and Mysterio. Only thing I paid for was the shirt though. I couldnt see myself paying for an autograph that pretty much only has value to you.

I got an autograph and pic with Kevin Nash during the Wolfpac era. It was free. Flair must really think he is more important than he really is.

I got to get my picture taken in the ring with Kurt Angle. It cost 5 bucks bit thay was for an 8x10 of the picture.

I've never been an autograph guy but lately I'm thinking it would be pretty cool to hang a couple autographed jerseys in the Lions Den (upstairs). I did get Goldbergs for my GF at the time when I was working at National Car Rental at the airport. I saw many wrestlers/celebs come in that place but he was the only one I ever asked and that dude was cool as hell.

My younger brother got his picture taken with Foley in the ring when he was TNA champion. My nieces got to meet Angelina Love, which they were pumped about. They were trying to get her attention and Rhino came and got them, and took them to her. He's a cool cat in my book.

I got a macho man auto from a slim Jim's promotion from a long ass time ago. I treasure it.

I never got the concept of why autographs are cool. I mean, I guess it's proof you met them but the concept of someone's name scribbled on a napkin or picture of them self being worth money is stupid as fuck to me. We've gained some hardcore fans at some shows who asked us to sign CD's and shit and as flattered as I was I felt bad for them. My signature is so fuckin' inconsistent and illegible that if we blew up as hard as Metallica it would be worthless since it looks like a retarded 5 year old wrote my name on a CD. I wanna buy a Polaroid and just take pictures with them making some jackassy pose. I would personally prefer that so much over someone fucking up a $30 shirt with a sharpie.

Exactly how I feel. I don't begrudge anyone for it, I just don't get it. Other than to sell it and make money, which I can get behind, I'd have no other reason. Just to keep it myself, on a shelf or something? I'm good.
