If you can write up a solid business plan, you may be able to get a business loan to start something like that. It really would be a good investment; you'd probably be able to pay off the loan in the first five years or so, and it'd be mostly profit from then on out. Just be sure to have happy hours, good food, and random contests and competitions and you'd have regulars pretty quick.

We recently got one of these Barcades in town. I have no hope for it though. The place they rented out/bought for it always fails when new bars move in to it. I also know the layout of the place, and they may have a few Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man types of machines but they don't have room for the 80's and 90's machines that were popular.

if you can afford to lose money for 3 years, go for it. if not, stick with stand up.
the small business figures don't lie. most go under before the end of year 1.
