That list isn't what I consider to be the 'best' movies of all time, just my personal favorites that I couldn't live without. I'm subjective. I know most of those are pieces of shit in the scheme of things. My list of ten 'best' movies would be significantly different.

In no particular order, and subject to change depending on my frame of mind.

1. The Shawshank Redemption
2. The Wizard of Oz
3. Forest Gump
4. Psycho (1960)
5. Sling Blade
6. Avatar
7. Full Metal Jacket
8. Das Boot
9. Seven
10. Ed Wood

Yeah, nothing against your lists at all, just those two movies seemed to stand out amongst the rest of it. I also like differentiated between "favorite" and "best" as my two lists would probably be pretty different. Re-Animator and Dawn of the Dead would probably make a run at making my favorite list. Also, I love Evil Dead, but I fall into the Evil Dead II camp a little more than the first.

I count the whole trilogy as one movie. I have The 'ultimate' cut, which is a custom edit of all three movies in one, I love it.

Jack Brooks Monster Slayer (2007)

This has been lost in my ‘need to watch’ shuffle since it was originally released on DVD, so it was high time I watched it. Here is the story of Jack, a rage filled plumber who witnessed his family be massacred by a monster when he was just a child and has trouble with anger issues as a result of feeling like he pussed out when he was a kid, but now he has a chance to redeem himself.

I think this is supposed to be a horror-comedy, but it really fails at the comedy part, but that doesn’t mean the movie isn’t good. I loved it, I just thought the ‘jokes’ weren’t all that funny. If you’re a fan of Ash from the Evil Dead franchise, you’ll like Jack. He isn’t as cocky and sucks at delivering one liners, but he is just as badass.

The best part of this movie for me is the use of actually makeup and creature fx with no CGI bullshit. Really gave it more of a monster movie feel from the 50’s.

I don’t think I can recommend downloading or buying this one. It deserves at the very least a Rental.

Paper Moon (1973)

Came across this hidden gem on Netflix, and since my girlfriend is obsessed with the 1930’s, decided to watch it with her. It’s a 70’s made movie depicting middle America during the Great Depression as a Con Man finds himself unwillingly teamed with a 9 year old girl who may or may not be his daughter.

The acting from the two leads is amazing in this movie; I guess their on screen chemistry stems from the fact that the duo really is a father/daughter combo in real life. The comedy is subtle and dry, but always gets a slight chuckle. Not roaring laughter, but makes you about as happy as if you had just eaten a cookie, nothing to scream about.

I usually get curious about actors/actresses from old movie and head right over to imdb after I’m done watching to see if they ‘became’ anyone, and I’ll be damned if the little girl from this didn’t grow up and become Maggie Gavin on Rescue Me. I also learned she won an Oscar for Paper Moon, and in doing so became the youngest recipient of an Oscar in Academy Awards history.

If you have Netflix and like period pieces, it’s worth a few clicks on the remote. I’d say break this out if you have a newer girlfriend in your life because you can pretend that you are cultured by liking these types of movies and make her feel ignorant by having never had heard of it. This will give her an inferiority complex and recognize you as her intellectual superior. Trust me.

Sleeping Dogs Lie (2006)

Here’s a lovely little Romantic Comedy about a girl, a boy and her dog… that she gave a blowjob too. Wait, What? Yep. A Romantic Comedy about a girl who blew her dog in college and is now in a committed relationship and she is to be married, but is having a hard time determining whether she should be completely honest about her sexual indiscretions with her pup. That’s just the tip of the iceberg in this movie directed by Bobcat Goldthwait.

Loved it! Dark Comedy done right! As crazy as the premise of the movie is, it’s really captivating and I found myself caring for the characters involved. Even the supporting characters were well done. Aside from having a low budget, I can’t think of anything negative to say about this. Could be one of my favorite romantic comedies movie forward.

It’s on Netflix. Definitely worth checking out.

World’s Greatest Dad (2009)

[Image: worlds_greatest_dad_2009_300x426_486001.jpeg]

Remember in the movie above this how I said I couldn’t find anything wrong with the movie? Well, that goes doubly for this. Again we have a movie directed by Bobcat Goldthwait, only this time it has star power in Robin Williams, whom plays a High School teacher with a douche bag son who accidently kills himself with a little Auto-Erotic asphyxiation. Not wanting to suffer the embarrassment for either his son or himself, Robin Williams decides to make it look like a suicide and getting rid of any evidence that the boy died while flogging the dolphin.

This is black comedy to sheer perfection. I had no idea Bobcat was making such amazing movies. I decided to check out his first two outings after I saw the trailer for God Bless America, which looked like a movie I could get behind, considering it looked like it could be based on a version of me circa 2025. I found both of them on Netflix and they are easily two of the best movies I have seen in a while. Not only are they brilliantly written, performed, directed, etc-etc, but they also have a moral to their respective stories. That’s something I have seen in a movie in a long ass time.

Watch them. Now!

It’s Alive (1974)

How can I traumatize my six month pregnant girlfriend? It’s Alive! I personally haven’t seen this movie since I used to rent it on VHS in middle school from 2-Day Video, so it was going to be a treat for me as well.

It’s a Larry Cohen movie, so you know it’s going to be awesomely bad. You may remember Larry as the guy who wrote the Maniac Cop movies… Ok, you say you don’t? Well, fuck you that’s what I think of when I think of Larry. Those movies and ‘The Stuff’.

So the plot in a nutshell is a married couple is expecting their second child and on the night of it’s birth, all the doctors in the delivery room are murdered, the mother left alive and the father and police left to wonder what the hell happened? What would be your first theory on what happened? Well fuck what you think, the medical staff and police in this movies first response is of course that all signs point to FUCKING MUTANT KILLER BABY!

Of course, that being their first thought is ridiculous, but in their defense… They were right. Not so much scary as it is interesting, but I’ve been planning on showing my girlfriend the best of the newborn killer baby genre.

I knew that this is actually the first installment of the It’s Alive trilogy, but I have never actually seen the other two movies. That’s going to change in the next couple of days, also there is a 2008 remake of It’s Alive that I am going to check out as well.

If you like killer mutant babies, then I can’t think of anything else that would be considered a classic in that genre aside from It’s Alive.

You know what, I actually remember It's Alive, I saw it when I was a kid. I always remembered parts of it but never knew what it was called. This batch of recommendations all looks great, I'll be checking them out soon.

Wigglez, you ever seen Little Otik? It's a foreign cheesy horror film, really good bad. Also Brain Damage, which I believe is Italian but my friend had a translated VHS of it back in the day, another great unknown bad movie.

I'm just gonna throw out some random movies that you may not have seen which I recommend wholeheartedly. Big Trouble, don't ask my why but nobody has seen that movie despite the monster cast and I had a hard time even finding it to download.

Oh, LOL didn't read this thread, tbh. And are you sure it's American? It's pretty obvious it's dubbed over into English, and there's a lot of signs in the background of scenes with Italian written on them...

RE: Suggestions from a Cinephile
It's a Frank Henenlotter movie. Almost all his movies take place and are filmed on location in his hometown of New York.

A lot of these bad movies like this have more success in Italy and Europe in general, i.e. Video Nasties. But I assure you, it's an English made American movie.

Brain Damage (1988)

An alien thing that looks like a turd controls a guy and make him kill people, among other things. The little alien turd thing can talk too. This movie is from Frank Henenlotter of Frankenhooker and Basketcase fame, also two very good fucking movies. Check out the Basket Case trilogy, but not on drugs. Nobody should be asked to handle that trip.

Blood Diner (1987)

[Image: a%20blood%20diner%20dragon%20dvd%20cover.jpg]

First off, make sure you get the uncut version as it is drastically different. This is very similar to Brain Damage in that it also has a thing that looks like a turd that can talk and make people do what it wants, but it's in a glass jar.

It's about two brothers who run a vegan restaurant, but really they serve human flesh. But not just because they are cannibals, but because they are doing it as a sacrifice to awaken ancient egyptian gods. See, I told you it was weird.

I find this to be more of a comedy. It's hilarious. Check it out for sure if you can find it uncut.

I went back to read your review and fuck yes, I love Blood Diner, great fucking movie from beginning to end. Also, glad to see you mentioned Pieces in the WTF movies, was hoping it'd be listed when I saw That Guy asking.

Chronicle (2012)

This movie actually made me want to go to a theater, which these days is extremely difficult. Most people hate the 3D thing sweeping the movie industry, but I love it, and I think it could have really helped this movie be more engaging. Don’t get me wrong, it was an excellent take on the super hero genre, but I feel that going 3D rather than found footage would have been a lot more badass.

I definitely recommend seeing this on the big screen.

The Baby (1973)

I’m not even sure how to describe what I watched here… So here is the description according to IMBD.

Quote:A social worker who recently lost her husband investigates the strange Wadsworth family. The Wadsworths might not seem too unusual to hear about them at first - consisting of the mother, two grown daughters and the diaper-clad, bottle-sucking baby. The problem is, the baby is twenty-one years old.

I was perusing the Horror section on Netflix and I came across this title. The description called it a “70’s Cult Classic”. That struck me as odd, because I’ve not only never seen it, but I’ve never even heard of it. Naturally I had to check it out.

This movie is bizarre. That’s all I really have to say about it. I highly recommend it, but not as a good movie, but as an oddity. It’s something to be experienced. The ‘twist’ at the end was absolutely greatness. If you have Netflix and have a sleepless night, tune in to The Baby.

Paranormal Activity 3 (2011)

I absolutely HATE the Paranormal Activity franchise. It’s the reigning king of ‘Gotchya’ moments, which to me is lazy horror movie film making. Of course if it’s extremely quit and then there is a sudden thunderous clap it’s going to make you jump. That to me isn’t scary at all. The best review I’ve ever seen of these movies is titles ‘Partly Normal Activity’, which sums it up better than anything else I’ve read on the movie.

Yet, being the Cinephile I am, I can’t very well ignore the third installment just because I hated the previous two, so I had to grit my teeth and suffer through yet another movie of watching people sleep and be mundane.

I could rant and rave about how much I loathe these movies, but we don’t have that kind of time. The worst part is I know part 4 comes out later this year and my obsessive compulsive nature is going to force me to watch it as well. Fuck.

The Sleeper (2012)

YES! A movie I have actually been looking forward too! Why? Because Joe Bob Briggs told me I should see it. Mainly because he has a guest spot in it, but also because it’s a homage to 70’s Slasher movies, and it did not disappoint. I’m sure those who aren’t very familiar with the non mainstream 70’s Slashers could appreciate this movie. It’s very old school in style. Think ‘Happy Birthday to Me’ or the original ‘When a Stranger Calls’.

Some excellent kill scenes in this one, that are alone worth the price of admission, plus lots of tits, ass and blood galore. If you can find it, get it. You won’t be disappointed. It’s only February, but so far this is a Top 10 of 2012 for me.

The Reef (2010)

I get in these random mind sets, sometimes I want to watch a movie with Bill Duke, other times I want to watch a movie with mutant killer babies and sometimes, just sometimes I need to watch a movie where I can watch Sharks eat people. Last night was one of those nights. I’d already seen Shark Night 3D and I can’t tell you how absolutely let down I was by it. They tried to follow the epicness of Piranha 3D, but they tried to hard. Campiness has to be natural, not forced. That’s where Shark Night failed, but this is supposed to be about The Reef, so on with the show.

What can I say about The Reef that hasn’t been said about Open Water? They are essentially the same movie except with more characters and those said characters are Australian. That’s not to say I didn’t love Open Water, I did. Which means I pretty much loved this movie as well. There is just something about people being stranded in the middle of the ocean that gives me anxiety when I watch it, and that’s what I like movie I watch to do to me; give me emotions, make me feel discomfort. I just have to keep repeating to myself that I will never ever put myself in a situation to be eaten by a fucking shark.

Great mindless entertainment. Requires very little attention span. If you have an underage girlfriend, watch this with her. I’m sure it will scare her and whilst you are unflinching it will make her think you are a manly man. Then she will blow you. Or not. But it’s worth a watch regardless.

Pumpkinhead (1988)

I used to watch Pumpkinhead as a child religiously. It was one of my only VHS tapes for a few years so I didn’t really have a choice. I haven’t watched it in years, but I came across it in my collection last night and I knew my girlfriend had never seen it and she could use a good scare, so what better choice than Pumpkinhead. If you’re not familiar with the Pumpkinhead movies, then you need to quit fucking around and get on top of it.

The first movie stars Lance Henriksen as a small town store owner whose son is accidentally killed by City Folk and Lance decides to solicit the help of a mountain witch to conjure up a Vengeance demon called ‘Pumpkinhead’. Hilarity and Blood ensue.

The movie doesn’t do a lot for the back-story to Pumpkinhead and neither does it’s sequel, Blood Wings. You may or may not remember a few years ago Sci-Fi channel made two originals, Pumpkinhead 3 and 4. They didn’t fare to well, but I love them. I’m in the minority as I love the franchise as a whole. I would love to see a balls out, big budget remake someday.

Go get your hands on these movies now, or Pumpkinhead will get you! Actually, that was something I learned new about the movie last night. During the opening title credits it said ‘Based on a Poem’:

Quote:Keep away from Pumpkinhead,
Unless you're tired of living,
His enemies are mostly dead,
He's mean and unforgiving,
Laugh at him and you're undone,
But in some dreadful fashion,
Vengeance, he considers fun,
And plans it with a passion,
Time will not erase or blot,
A plot that he has brewing,
It's when you think that he's forgot,
He'll conjure your undoing,
Bolted doors and windows barred,
Guard dogs prowling in the yard,
Won't protect you in your bed,
Nothing will, from Pumpkinhead.

Needless to say, I plan to use this to scare she shit out of my first born child.

Bonus Pumpkinhead Flavor:

The sequel, Blood Wings and I have a rich history together. When I was 12 and I began to experiment with masturbation, the only thing I had that I could use as wanking material was a scene from Pumpkinhead 2 in which a big titty blonde girl rides a big, fat, hairy cowboy. The scene only last about 15 seconds, but I rewound it over and over and over and that’s the story of the first time I ever blew my load.

If you’d ever have seen the scene I’m speaking of, you would probably understand how fucking twisted that really is.

Well, Blood Wings is ignored by Ashes to Ashes and Blood Feud.

Plus they have Lance Henriksen. Blood Wings can suck it. The only thing it had going for it was Punky Brewster.

RE: Suggestions from a Cinephile
I've always been curious about checking out The Baby. I haven't seen it either, but I've been familiar with it though. Also, hadn't heard of The Sleeper, will have to check it out.

Here's a couple I've watched recently:

I was let down by this. After enjoying Ti West's The House of the Devil, I had decent hopes for this. However, it's a horror comedy, that I really didn't find all that funny. As for the horror, the back story was really uninteresting and not developed much at all, I thought that it really made the movie have no reason to feel any tension.

Great late '80s Dutch horror movie. There's a killer on the loose who dwells in the canals of Amsterdam killing people who get near the water. If you watch it English with dubbing, it turns into more of a horror comedy at times, especially the scenes with the main character's daughter.

Doesn't warrant its own thread, but I just got two new shirts from fright rags for Valentines day from my girlfriend.

From Lucio Fulci's Zombi:

Blood Diner:

Megan is Missing (2011)

Fictional drama based on actual events, about 2 teen-age girls who encounter an internet predator, using the found footage approach.

I started this movie one night, having no idea what it was about, but I wasn’t in the mood for found footage that night, so I skipped over it for a few weeks. But after watching Partly Normal Activity 3 I was in the mood for more found footage to get the bad taste out of my mouth.

This is a lower budget found footage flick, but I ended up really liking it. It could have been edited better and left out some of the fake news footage, but I think the overall presentation was okay. Not great, but okay.

The thing I didn’t like about the movie was the moral about kids and online predators. To me, I think just a half ounce of common sense would have prevented the outcomes of the two girls in the movie. Meeting strangers you meet online in real life just doesn’t sound like a very good idea; especially if you’re an underage girl.

The movie has a hard time trying to get its pacing together, but the last 20 minutes or so are absolutely brutal, and I think they should be showing this movie to girls in middle school to scare the shit out of them.

Highly recommend.

Spookies (1986)

If you had a box full of bad 80’s horror movies on VHS and it took a shit composed of everything that made each of those individual movies bad, then you would have Spookies. It’s not so bad that it’s good, but more like it’s so bad it just has to be experienced. If the Evil Dead and Gremlins had an abortion, it would be named Spookies. Not for the average bad movie fan. Only for those with true grit and experience in the field.

Aside from the lack of a plot, acting skills, direction, logic and other things a movie needs, this movie was a lot of fun. If you can find this rarity, then you should definitely watch with friends.

Fathers Day (2012)

I’ll let the synopsis set this one up for you:
Quote:Ahab, a man obsessed with exacting a brutal, violent revenge on the man who murdered his dad, joins John, an eager priest, and Twink, a hot-headed street hustler, on an epic quest to find and defeat this mythical monster known as Chris Fuchman AKA The Father's Day Killer.

This is the best thing Troma has been attached to since Citizen Toxie. I fucking loved this movie so fucking much, I can’t even explain. If you made a list of every thing a movie shouldn’t show, every blatantly offensive thing you can think of, and then came up with a plot around them, you would have this movie.

If you’re a fan of old school 42nd Street Grindhouse movies, or you simply like Grindhouse Homage flicks like Planet Terror, Hobo With a Shotgun or Run Bitch Run, then this is so far up your alley that it’s pouring out your ear holes. It’s got faux commercials, grainy film, scratchy editing, audio flares, the whole nine yards.

I will be watching this movie many more times in the future. And although the title is called Fathers Day, I don’t recommend showing this to your father. He might disown you afterwards.

Real Steel (2011)

Saved the worst for last! And when I use the word ‘worst’, this time I mean it in it’s appropriate context. This movie was fucking awful. I don’t think I have seen a worse movie since The Musketeer back in 2004.

The thing is, I really expected to like it. I knew it was a shitty Hollywood popcorn flick, so I wasn’t expecting a masterpiece. I knew it was fucking Robot fighting and that it wouldn’t soon be one of my favorites, but holy fucking shit is it bad.

Hugh Jackman… Talk about phoning it in. I could almost catch glimpses of him tweeting or playing on facebook while he was supposed to be ‘acting’. Also, what the fuck is it with Hollywood and prepubescent child actors that are smart ass know more than adult characters? It’s so annoying it’s not even funny. You’re a kid. Fuck you.

I haven’t hated a movie in a while, but I sure do hate the fucking shit out of this. How do you fuck up a movie with big gnarly fighting robots? Don’t get me started on the whole plot/moral of the story. Basically if you’re a bad father, bad gambler, bad everything. Shit will be alright and you will have no responsibilities for anything ever, as long as you are good at remote controlling a fighting robot.

In short; Fuck this movie.

Pretty much what I expected about Real Steel. I hadn't actually heard anybody that had seen it say anything about it. I normally check out all the stupid Transformers and comic movies, but this one I hadn't even planned on downloading.

I wasn't too excited about Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots: The Movie, and after reading your review I'm going to do my best to stay away from it. I will check out Father's Day though, sounds like my type of movie.

My Bloody Valentine (1981)

What better way to spend Valentines day than getting blowjobs, eating candy and watching Horror Movies? The answer is of course, no better way. I saw this pop up on Netflix instant and I knew my girlfriend had never seen it, so I suggested it, she informed me she had seen it already, but what she meant was that she had already seen the remake; which sucked immensely. I don’t understand how you fuck up a Slasher movie, but remakes are figuring it out.

This is one of the better made Friday the 13th Ripoffs of the early 80’s. If you can find the unrated version, then go towards that. Has some awesome kill scenes and I still think the Coal Miner outfit is a badass Slasher character and I wish they could have found a way to make this into a franchise. If you like Slasher movies, then this is a hidden gem of the genre.

Sometimes They Come Back (1991)

Although it’s usually a Faux Pas of the horror fan community to like Stephen King, but I absolutely love his work, most of it, up until the last decade or so. This is a movie starring Tim Matheson, who is one of my all time favorite made-for-TV actors, which reminds me I need to suggest his Lifetime Original movie ‘Buried Alive’ while I’m at it.

Anyways, this is about a guy whose brother was killed by Greasers and we fast forward 30 years later and he moves back to the small town where everything went down and finds himself haunted by real life ghost of said greasers. It gets kind of cheesy towards the end, but overall an awesome ride.

It spawned two sequels, the second of which is entitled ‘Sometimes they come back, AGAIN!’ which is my favorite of the series for some strange reason. The third film ‘Some times they come back for more’ isn’t at all terrible, but is in my opinion the weakest of the series. Again, this was on Netflix so it’s not too much trouble to watch.

Congo (1995)

Fuck Yeah! Congo! I saw this on Netflix and I couldn’t click it fast enough. I saw this in theaters when I was a wee lad, and I even remember getting the game for Sega Genesis for free from 7-11 when it came out. Which just last year my friend and I decided to play on the Sega emulator on a modded Wii and we were determined to beat the game, just because we had nothing better to do. We cheated and used save states, but it still took about 5 hours to complete the task, but this is supposed to be about the movie…

I absolutely love this movie. For some reason it never crosses my mind as one of my favorites, but it has to be in the Top 50 for sure. I mean it has Bruce Campbell (briefly), Tim Curry, Ernie Hudson, Adibese for OZ and fucking MONKEYS! Ok, they’re gorillas, but to me that’s a monkey, fuck you. I love monkey movies. You put a monkey in a movie and it’s already 8 out of 10 for me. Not only that, but the Gorilla can talk! AMY GOOD GORILLA!

Epic adventure movie. Great ride from start to finish. I never realized it, as many times as I’ve seen it, but the man guy is Sean from FX’s Nip/Tuck. Go figure.

Watch Congo. I demand it. Even if you’ve seen it, see it again.

Leaving Las Vegas (1995)

Nicholas Cage is slowly but surely becoming my favorite A-List bad actor. I’ve seen most of his filmography, but never the movie he won an Academy Award for. I had nothing better to do so I relaxed a bit and put on Leaving Las Vegas.

Excellent premise: Nic Cage goes to Vegas to drink himself to death after failing at being a writer, where he meets a whore played by Elisabeth Shue. Good times. I’ve had a crush on Elisabeth Shue since I was a youngster and one of my favorite movies in those days was Adventures in Babysitting. The shit that comes out of her mouth in Leaving Las Vegas, MMMmmm. Dirty Girl. I always wanted to hear her talk dirty, and this movie really let me have it. That alone is worth the price of admission.

Really slow paces movie, but the dark and subtle humor keep you interested through to the end.

Snake Eyes (1998)

After Leaving Las Vegas, I was craving more Nic Cage, as so often is the case with watching his movies. The mans borderline psychotic acting style is addictive. So I was browsing through Netflix and saw Snake Eyes. I remembered it from when it came out and I think I had it on VHS, but I clicked play and went for the ride.

Also starring Lt. Dan, sorry Gary Sinise, you will forever be associated with Forest Gump, no matter how good of an actor you are, as the counterpart to Nic Cage. Carla Gugino (Watchmen) also has a part in this and she is fucking hotter than ever.

The plot is that there is a big main even heavyweight championship boxing match which is being attended by the Secretary of Defense who gets assassinated during the fight and it’s up to Nicolas Cage, an against the grain dirty cop to solve the mystery. I remember when it came out that it was a pretty big deal how the movie was filmed from different angles that would be shows in different order to piece the mystery together. Awesome idea, but poorly executed in this movie as there is no need because the mystery is exposed about 20 minutes into the movie.

Still not terrible, but not great. I wouldn’t go too far out of my way to watch this one.

House (1986)

“Roger Cobb is a author who has just separated from his wife. He moves into a new house and tries to work on a novel based on his experiences in the Vietnam War. Strange things start happening around him; little things at first, but as they become more frequent, Cobb becomes aware that the house resents his presence.”

Very early Horror-Comedy movie of the 80’s, which manages to be sort of scary in the process. I remember this movie being really weird when I was a kid, but I think the magic wore off over the years, but to a first time viewer could still pack a punch.

House II The Second Story (1987)
[Image: HouseIITheSecondStory1987.jpg?width=399&...height=600]

Now this is the movie I really remember from the House franchise. Yes, I said franchise. There are four movies total. The third and fourth, are not memorable at all but I’m sure I’ll get around to rewatching them sometime in the near future.

I know I used to watch House II a lot as a kid, but I had no real memory of it now as an adult until it started playing out. What a fantastic sequel. Well, it really has nothing to do with the first movie and can easily be watched as a stand alone movie and not part of a series. Infinite times more funny than House, but not even close to being scary, more of an adventure movie with Horror Elements. Plus, Bill Maher is in it. HAHA

If you can find these movies then you should really check them out. They have a certain quality about them that stands out from other 80’s movies which had a lot of extreme violence, blood, gore, boobs and other staples of the genre from that decade. This movie is fun for the whole family.

The Muppets (2011)

I’m 27 years old, going on 28 this year, which puts me at too young to have been really attached to the Muppets and too old to not remember enough about them to watch this nostalgia trip of a movie.

Thing is, I didn’t really care for it. I don’t know. I think this is an amazing movie for young kids, but the adult humor that was in it just wasn’t for me. I couldn’t really get into it. I also can’t stand to look at Jason Segels face. Great for children, not so much for adults.

Overall: Meh

The Brady Bunch Movie (1995)

Girlfriend through this on randomly the other night as we were going to be and I was damn near asleep, but I got really into this. I remember it getting shit on when it came out, but after rewatching it, I love it. Apparently I used to watch the shit out of this movie, most likely on HBO or Cinemax when I was kid, because I remembered all the jokes, but only as they were about to play out.

It’s fucking scary how close some of the portrayals of the original cast are. I also love some of the tie-ins and call backs to humor, jokes and storylines from the original series. Great for die hard Brady Bunch fans. This is easily up there with The Beverly Hillbillies Movie and Addams Family movies as best TV to Movie remakes there are.

I can’t wait to watch the Sequel again.

Brake (2012)

This movie is sort of a ripoff of last years 'Buried', but it's really fucking badass, where as Buried was one of last years worst movies. This is so far my favorite movie of 2012. There is a screener floating around out there. Excellent quality. I'd check it out if I were you. Although the basic premise is 'a guy in a box', I assure you, this is one helluva rollercoaster ride!

Holy shit, I saw House in the theatre. Damn I'm old!

Speaking of other horror movies I saw at the theatre as a youngster, you should review Fright Night, April Fools Day, Vamp, and Trick R Treat

So Wiggz, i'm looking into your obscure weird movies like Tokyo Gore Police and Slow Torture Puke Chamber. Also the Tromeo movie, although you didn't mention that one, I am now a hunt to find just weird movies with no real explanation of the crazy shit that happening. So please continue on a list of shit like that...or just PM it to me LOL

Weirdest movie i've watched today is RUBBER!

Found it on Netflix, it's about a psychic tire that explodes birds, people, and anything in it's path! No explanation on how the tire became psychich or why people are starving to death to watch it. But interesting watch!
