I made a great discovery at my mother's today...
The Atari Lynx still works like the day I bought it. The Game Gear needs to have some capacitor's replaced, which I've never done but should provide an interesting challenge.
Did anyone else ever have the Lynx?

I had a Game Gear and thought it was pretty cool at the time, but looking back on it the games really did suck though. Never had a Lynx. Played a game at a friend's house on it, nothing particularly great either. It would be cool to dig out my old Game Gear though.

Nothing can compare to the Game Boy but I used to LOVE my Game Gear... The Lynx was decent, I didn't have many GOOD games for it. The Lynx goes for like $100 on eBay used. Blows my mind.

I remember playing my Game Gear under the covers after my bedtime so I wouldn't get caught. That bitch was so bright it would light up my whole room. Under the blanket and all. Also that thing is the only electronic device that put fear into the Energizer Bunny.

I had a Game Gear, but the only things I really played on it were Mortal Kombat, Sonic 2, and Star Wars.
I remember always wanting a Lynx because Ninja Gaiden on it was like the arcade version.

Didn't have a Game Gear or Lynx but at one point I did own a NOMAD. Who remember that?? Game Gear that played regular Sega carts.

RE: I made a great discovery at my mother's today...
... why fix it? Think it'll be worth more if you sell it? Not worth keeping. ROMs bro.
I never had a Gameboy until Pokemon came out. Then a couple months later the color came out, and I was like FUUUUU. I never carried that shit around or anything. Couldn't play in the car, made me sick. Didn't want it broke or stolen at school. Just played at home. I got it for specific games, not for having shitty games to carry around with me. Later on I got a Neo Geo Pocket Color and mofackin Metal Slug and some other shitty games. LYNX was shit and should be forgotten.
I saw some shop at the flea market selling 2600s for fucking $70 the other day. Shit my roommate has one in the living room and another in the shed I found yesterday. $70? Dude, WHY? Just to be a dick like "derr I like owning the carts and having to blow in them and find shelf space for all of them and only be able to play these 20 or so that I own, instead of the entire game library taking up like 3mb of disc space and having save states, online support, hacks, achievements, and all the other shit that makes ROMs better?" Wow I'm impressed with your stubborn bullshit ways you tired old prick. Go read a "book" and listen to a "record" you dinosaur.

RE: I made a great discovery at my mother's today...
Reminds me of last year; my moms friend found a Nntendo 64 in her basement brand new with 6 games or so still in the boxes (including Ocarina of time), extra controller, rumble pak and extension pak. Sold to me for $20
