It's being reported around the net that the reason why Chris Hero didn't end up in WWE with his tag partner Claudio Castagnoli (now known as Antonio Cesaro in FCW) is that he failed a pre-employment drug screening, showing elevated testosterone levels consistent with steroids, causing the WWE to rescind their contract offer to him.

I was VERY excited with the news of KoW coming to WWE but am left shaking my head at what a dumbass Hero is. WWE has a well-known wellness policy so you know that they'd test you prior to employing you to make sure that you aren't anything. He blew what will most likely be his only shot. Hope he enjoys the rest of his career on the indies.....

Spend whole indy career as a chubby guy in t-shirt. Start taking steroids to get in shape. Finally get noticed by WWE. Fail pre-employment drug test for steroids.
