So I know some people were anticipating this game, but not really sure whos still waiting for it... Being that there hasn't been a thread in awhile.

Anyhow.

I got to start playing back on Tuesday the 13th and really like the game so far.

If anyone is starting or care to play I'm on a server with friends, waiting for a few of them to get their headstart invitation.

Faction: Empire, Server: Iron Citadel, Name: Hush - Bounty Hunter

I've gotten 3 beta invites over the past 6 months or so and every single time I forgot about it and they expired

I'm eager to try it though, it looks great. I just don't have much MMO time right now.

Well, if you do find yourself wanting to play, come join my server. As soon as things are in full swing we'll be throwing together a friendly guild that going to be hitting up PvP and endgame content.

I want to get this game. I asked my GF for it for Christmas. I want to get into a new game anyway. I haven't read ANYTHING on this game. I just seen some pics and stuff. I just know i love me some star wars!

Usually a pvper but playing Sith Inquisitor on some RP server with some work buddies.

Maybe once I finish playing game I'll switch to pvp and join up with you guys if thats cool.

SWTOR is from BioWare so it plays like you'd expect from a typical BioWare game.

- Interactive dialog between player and NPCs
- Light side and Dark side points as done in KOTR and KOTR2
- Advance class system Ex. Bounty Hunter becomes either Powertech or Mercenary, one is DPS or Tank while the other is DPS or Heals/Support
- Most voice acting in any MMO, possibly in any game in general.
- Innovative crafting system (my opinion. Ive never done crafting in a MMO cuz I find it boring. SWTORs craft is really cool)

Ask questions and I'll try to answer them. This is one of the first times I went into an MMO with nearly zero knowledge of how the game's mechanics work.

Sounds awesome man. Did you guys buy it already? I realllllly want to get it. I currently play a shadow priest (ranged dps) in WoW. I love it. What are the ranged guys like? I definitely want to be a jedi though.

I have it preordered, the game releases on the 20th, but they did a headstart for people who preordered it.

Range classes are

Republic: Trooper, Smuggler

Trooper can go: Vanguard or Commando
Smuggler can go: Gunslinger or Scoundrel

Empire: Bounty Hunter, Imperial Agent

Bounty Hunter can go: Powertech or Mercenary
Imperial Agent can go: Operative or Sniper

Each of the advance classes play different.

Yeah, I am Empire and playing Bounty Hunter. I went Merc with him so I can dual wield blasters for DPS.

what graphics cards are you guys running? i got the standard one that came in my PC that i got a few months back and its running ok

I will pick this up eventually. My son's Christmas gifts drained my money.

WOOOOO! Got my retail copy today! Gf bought it for me as an early Xmas present!

The thing I like about this, is that you can play solo. For every mission/quest, there's a "group" instance, and a "solo" instance. You miss out on some content, but its not like WOW which forced you to group to get anywhere.

got a new graphics card and been assfucking the shit out of this game.............god so addictive

My computer is beyond the min specs and lags like crazy. I've suffered thru 19 levels of it so far. I need to build a new rig but I have no clue what to buy anymore.

Just got this today, and found out that my old beastly card that had no problems running anything I've ever tested on it before is no longer so beastly. It wasn't all that bad, and I was still able to play the game without problems, it wasn't just completely smooth. So, I went out and bought a AMD Sapphire 6870 1GB card.

I've never had to plug in two different connections to the power supply. The thing is absolutely fucking silent too though. Craziness.

I plan on getting this as soon as I can afford stuff again. Probably tax time.

I will tell you that if you don't have a 1GB card and like your games to be completely smooth, make sure you can upgrade your card first.

Most people I know don't care if it is a tiny bit choppy, but that bugs the absolute shit out of me.

Fuckkkkk me. Bought the digital download thing and now the star wars site wont let me download the fucking game client.

You doing it from the site or Origins? If you can do it from the site do so. Otherwise you have to run Origins everytime, just to launch the game.

I redownloaded the client earlier today on another PC from the site and had no issues with it.
