I'm not sure about how other members would feel about this, but sometimes I go into a thread, post my opinions, and never enter it again. A few times, someone has quoted what I have said, but I never check the thread again so the conversation just ends.

I'm not quite sure where you could put the notifications, maybe in the PM's. Just thought it would be a convenient feature that could help strike up good conversations.

No. Also, we don't intend to add anything like that. The best way to know if you've been quoted is to enter the thread and look, this is how conversation should work on the board. No matter what we do to the board it's still a forum on the internet. You have to be involved in anything you're willing to comment on for the sake of discussion.
