So we all
Shitting on Lebron for not knowing they had a TO in Game 1? What a leader

I predicted the future on Saturday night.

He tried to call timeout in front of the ref. JR was the one with the ball.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Peezy - 06-04-2018

2:15 mark, Lebron finds out they had a timeout left and you can literally see the life go out of him

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 06-04-2018

At the :14 mark you see Lebron signaling for Timeout.

Pretty much

Anyone who thinks this Finals was a good thing for the sport is mind boggling. Hope the ratings were as low as my interest was.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Chaos - 06-08-2018

Personally I thought Curry should've gotten MVP, I feel like they basically gave it to Durant because of game 3.

Once again the Stanley Cup playoffs were way more entertaining than the boring NBA where the champion was already decided before the season even started. Yawns...

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 06-08-2018

How many games to he Cavs win next year? Has to be under 20 right?

Scored a 12 rating game 3 or 4 I forget but yeah the series was a total snore fest. JR completely removed any momentum they had going forward. Still amazed that LeBron single handedly carried these group of bums to the finals. If he goes to Houston they have the greatest shot of taking out the Warriors no question.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 06-08-2018

Warrior fans haven't seen their team win 3 out of 4 titles since 2000-2004 when they were Lakers fans.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 06-09-2018

Cleveland fans hadn’t seen a Chanpionship victory since they were Heat fans

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 06-09-2018

Except yanno..1.2 million people showed up to their parade vs Miami's 400,000

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 06-09-2018

You think it’s financially possible for anyone from The Land to fly to Miami for a parade?

As much as it would be to fly to Cleveland in the summer which brought people from all over the country but thats none of my business.

Those 1.2 million people knew they'd never see a NBA championship parade again.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 06-09-2018

A title in Cleveland means everything.

The Warriors titles mean about as much as a WWE Championship. Change my mind.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - jabroni - 06-10-2018

lol oh boy.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Brulos - 06-10-2018

Once again Will makes Ohio sports fans look like Phenom.

WTG WILL.

LEBRON goes to Miami and Luna and cunado gang get matching Bron jerseys.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - SacredCow - 06-10-2018

He was more fun to watch when he didn't have to carry the entire state of Ohio on his back because Cavs management can't get him teammates (or keep them). When he leaves, wonder how many people are going to burn their Lebron jerseys a second time, only to give him more money when he returns to retire.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 06-10-2018

I don't think it will be as bad this time. He won them a championship, gave them everything he had and led them to 4 straight Finals appearances which only them and the 2000-2004 Lakers had done in the last 30 years. This time I think everyone is expecting him to go so though it will be painful it won't be NEAR as bad as The Decision when he was in his peak. It will be sad to see him go obviously because he's much bigger than just an athlete here and even worse being unknowing of what the Cavs future is gonna look like but he's cemented his place in Ohio sports history. He's right there on the Mount Rushmore with guys like Jack Nicklaus, Jesse Owens and Woody Hayes of Ohio guys who changed the landscape of their sport.

I still stand that it's a sad state of the NBA and it also shows you how good the guy is when it takes 4 Olympians in the primes of their career to team up in order to take him down. Even MJ didn't have to go up against that. Oh wait...he did get KO'd by the Pistons (composed of 3-4 all-stars who would have been Olympians had the pros played in the Olympics pre-92) in the first round for 3 straight years but he won 6 championships so all of his hardcore fans/analysts won't ever bring that one up when throwing comparisons around.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - sanderz1 - 06-10-2018

That was early in his career before he had reached his prime, but ok. He soon made that team his whipping boys
