Begins with a Pittsburgh rapper trying to amp up a Cleveland crowd LOL

AGAG @ Golden State last night

All shooting, no size inside. I feel better matching up against them this year than I did last year.

I hate basketball.

Deadman showing up to the Cavs first game. Pretty sweet.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Peezy - 11-08-2016

So for almost 2 years, Steph Curry had hit at least one 3-pointer per game. That streak came to an end a couple of nights ago when he didn't make any threes against the Lakers.

So to make up for it, he hit 13 of them last night against the Pelicans to set the all-time record for most threes in a game.

Having one of the debatable top 5 players in the league must suck. Harden stays dropping triple doubles almost every night it seems.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 12-04-2016

The Raptors are a great team but it doesn't matter because the Cavs win the East. NBA is boring as fuck

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 12-05-2016

You'll win tonight

Cavs in their Honeymoon phase right now

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 12-06-2016

Haha

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 12-14-2016

Well I hope Peezy didn't buy tickets to tonight's Grizzlies/Cavs game. Feel bad for the ones who did.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Mudkips - 12-14-2016

They lost without their big 3?

Whoda thunk

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 12-14-2016

BUT THEY HAD DEANDRE LIGGINS BRO!!

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - bj0rn - 12-15-2016

sitting players is kinda bullshit, especially when teams sell tickets on tiers based on the opponent. but i have no idea what you can do to prevent it

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 12-15-2016

It's not like the Spurs haven't been doing it for years

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 12-16-2016

Difference is the Spurs did it with old players, why the fuck does Kyrie need to be sat? He's 24.

MJ played all 82 games when he was 40. Fuck these guys

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - bj0rn - 12-16-2016

kings sat boogie cousins with a day off before and after the game. gotta save boogie for that massive kings playoff run rite

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - bj0rn - 12-16-2016

rockets 60 3pt attempts tonight for the record. if you were wondering the record before it was 49 set by rockets about 2 weeks ago

Kyrie's also had season ending injuries multiple times in his career; something MJ never had the displeasure of dealing with.

I'd be all for sitting the guy for half the season if it meant getting to see Vintage Uncle Drew when it counts the most. Fuck how other fans feel about it.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 12-17-2016

Team and coach should be fined $250,000 each time this happens.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 12-17-2016

....for using the DNP (coach's decision) spot in their lineup?

lebron has a knee sore and kyrie has a migraine headache. fine or no fine?

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 12-17-2016

Legitimate injuries sure, but they didn't

Yes, that are the Cavs have to pony up the $$ to give all the Grizz fans their money back

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 12-18-2016

Well if you're gonna apply that rule to NBA then you have to apply the same rule to every sport. How about the NFL in weeks 16/17 when starters rest for the playoffs? What about in baseball when big time pitchers/players get a game-time scratch for rest? It's a coach's decision to sit players; not anyone else's. If fans wanna go all out and pay money for the sake of just seeing all-star players then just buy a ticket to an all-star game and forget everything else. Besides, who are you there to support: your team or the visiting team? As long as your team comes away with a W (which the Grizzlies did to no surprise) then I'd say fans got their money's worth. I've paid enough money watching teams that I cheer on lose that going home with a W means more than who played on the other side.

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 12-18-2016

Lol at this

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 12-18-2016

As laughable as your retarded statements

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 12-19-2016

NBA ain't like any other sport. The superstars literally run this league. There is 2 teams that any chance of winning in the next 5 years.

Why do you think the players agreed to a CBA extensionso easily and quickly???

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 12-19-2016

So..coaches should not be allowed to rest them because they are megastars above the sport of basketball..

Understood

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Opitiplex - 12-20-2016

You don't disagree because it's the Cavs. Got it

RE: 2016-2017 NBA Thread - Obsidian - 12-20-2016

I dont disagree with anyone doing it. It's the coach's right to do so!
